We&#8217;ve said it for years, and now it\u2019s become a buzzword tossed around in speeches, events, and corporate slogans\u2014but often misunderstood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yet the ability to establish and maintain <strong>mutually valuable relationships<\/strong> can truly make a difference in anyone\u2019s life and career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Networking is not<\/strong> about how many people you know or how many business cards you collect at a conference.<br><strong>Networking is about<\/strong> how many people you can help and how many doors you can open for others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>\u201cNetworking is an act of giving,\u201d<\/strong> says <a class=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.irenemagistro.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Irene Magistro<\/a>, the event&#8217;s speaker. She is the author of the book <a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B0BR9CB2JH?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_0SXS0V4A90CSMHF0EKXF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Intellectual Stripper \u2013 Sustainable Networking in a Borderless World<\/em><\/a>, an introduction to becoming a networker starting from the right mindset.
