The Global Gender Gap Report 2022<\/strong><\/a> reveals a new and encouraging trend in female entrepreneurship. For the first time, the report includes an analysis of the gender gap specifically within entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What stands out\u2014based on the job titles<\/em> (founder and co-founder) listed in LinkedIn profiles across 22 countries\u2014is that the number of women entrepreneurs<\/strong> has increased at a higher rate than men<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In particular, the share of women founders<\/strong> has doubled over the past five years<\/strong>. As illustrated in the accompanying chart, this trend continued both during and after the pandemic, with a 43% increase between 2019 and 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
